Peers
Against ViolencE is a FREE
summit for youth ages 14-18 who are committed to ending dating violence and
sexual assault in their communities.
Goals
Workshops and presentations offer anti-violence training for peer
leaders.
Youth learn new knowledge and skills and connect with teen leaders
from across the state.

Call
for Presenters
We invite you to share your knowledge and expertise with teens
attending the event as a workshop presenter!
We are interested in including a wide variety of presentation
topics that may appeal to a range of participants from community-based
organizations, schools, and other youth groups.
Examples of past workshop themes include: Helping a Friend, Being
a Man, Talk Sex, Beyond Prejudice, Putting the Word Out There, and Self
Defense.

Please consider being a presenter at this event.
The half-day summit will include 3 blocks of workshops
sessions. Workshops will be 45 minutes
long.
Presentations should be interactive and discussion-based with the
goal of increasing knowledge and skills among youth ages 14-18 in at least one
of the following areas: youth development, youth violence prevention, peer
engagement, community organizing, or media literacy.
We strongly encourage youth educators and/or organization with
youth education teams to submit a proposal.
All proposals will be seriously considered. Based on the number of responses, we may not
be able to accept all submitted proposals due to space limitations. We will notify all proposed primary contact
people if the proposal was accepted by August 25th 2008.
