Volunteer or Intern with REACH

Become part of a group that makes meaningful change happen.

REACH volunteers leverage their creativity, energy, and empathy to sustain the work of supporting survivors and creating community change. We offer short-term and long-term volunteer opportunities to match our volunteers’ passions with our organization’s needs.

Direct service volunteers must complete 35 hours of training. Other opportunities require up to six hours of training.

Featured Opportunity: REACH is currently seeking an Event Planning Volunteer for 8-15 hours per week. Learn more here.

Internship Opportunities:

We occasionally offer internships in a variety of areas. Currently, we have an exciting opportunity for a Youth Education Intern to work directly with REACH’s Prevention Team in support of educational partnerships and prevention services. Learn more here.

How you Can Help

Office Volunteers

Our office volunteers assist REACH in a multitude of ways. From receiving and guiding visitors to assisting in childcare, office volunteers engage in many direct service opportunities with survivors and staff.

Shelter Volunteers

Our shelter volunteers perform several duties to help staff support our residential program. Those tasks include light maintenance around the house, gardening, providing childcare to children in our shelter, assisting staff with programming, and answering hotline calls.

Community Volunteers

Our community volunteers are our frontline volunteers. They employ their skills to provide needed resources to the community by delivering supplies and essential items to survivors. These volunteers also help coordinate and run our short-term projects and events such as volunteer recruitment fairs and community outreach events.

Seasonal Opportunities

Are you looking for a creative, innovative way to use your skills to prevent domestic violence and help survivors on their journey? Please contact us at volunteer@reachma.org for more information about our seasonal opportunities.
