REACH's Holiday Gift program supports local families this season

Friday, December 2, 2011

Every year, REACH provides holiday gifts and an evening of fun to families who have utilized REACH services. REACH staff is currently hard at work providing holiday gifts by matching families up with donors who "sponsor" a family and fill a few wishes for the adult survivor and children. This year we are on schedule to fill wishes for approximately 220 families!

This big task is accomplished through the generosity of individuals, businesses, and religious communities, all of whom come together around the holidays to extend their help to families. The highlight of the holiday program is a night of fun and food for all of the families who receive gifts. Made possible by donations from Blue Ribbon Barbeque and a team of volunteers from the Weston community, REACH provides an elaborate meal, crafts, activities for the children and a very special visit from Santa. For many families this event is the highlight of the holiday season. REACH is currently looking for more donors, so if you are interested in being a part of the holiday gift program, please contact Deb Heimel at deb@reachma.org.
